Rare and lovely 19th-century Orientalist pearl figure depicting a smoking nobleman (in the style of 17th-century pearl figures).
The figure is made of silver, gilt silver, and enamel, crafted from various natural Baroque pearls that compose the trousers, the hat, and the armchair cushions.
The piece is set with rubies, green paste, and old-cut diamonds (Peruzzi, French cut, table-cut,...).
